HowMuchTrades is designed to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Price reports: contractor, trade, service, quoted and paid prices, job details, and currency. Reports are anonymous. We don't ask for your name, email, or account.
• Location (transient only): to show you nearby contractors, we use your approximate location from your connection, or your precise location only if you tap "Use my exact location". Precise coordinates are used for that one search and then dropped. We never store raw coordinates on our servers. Your location choice is remembered only in your own browser.
• Basic analytics: we use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are popular. No cross-site tracking.
• Advertising: we display ads served by third-party networks (such as Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your browser or via the network's own settings.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share personal data; there is almost nothing to share.
• We don't require accounts, so there are no passwords to leak.
• We don't store your precise location.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies: your location and language preferences (stored in your browser, not on our servers) and cookies set by our advertising partners. Blocking cookies won't break the site.
